The rules, in the fewest words that still mean something.

These terms are between you and Invoframe, and they apply whenever you use the site or the product, whether you have an account or you are only using the free invoice generator.

Using the service means you accept them. If you are using Invoframe for a company, you are confirming that you may accept them on that company’s behalf.

There is no password. You sign in with a one time code sent to your email address, or with your Google account. That makes your email inbox the key to your workspace: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep it secure.

You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the details you give us need to be true. One person should not run an account under somebody else’s identity.

Invoframe helps you produce invoices, send them, and keep track of whether they were paid. It is a tool for making and delivering documents.

It is not an accountant, a tax adviser, or a lawyer, and nothing it produces is professional advice. It does not calculate what tax you owe, file anything with an authority, or tell you whether an invoice is valid where you or your client are. Tax rates and terms are yours to enter and yours to check.

It is also not a payment processor. Recording a payment in Invoframe is you writing down that money arrived. No money moves through us.

The content of your invoices: the amounts, the tax, the terms, the dates, and whether any of it is correct. We render what you type.

The lawfulness of what you bill for, and of holding the client details you enter. If your client asks you why you have their address, that is a conversation between you and them.

Your own records. Deleting your workspace deletes your invoices with it, so if you need to keep records for tax or accounting purposes, keep your own copies. The PDF of every invoice can be downloaded at any time.

When you send an invoice, it leaves from our sending domain with your name on it and your address for replies. That means your sending behaviour affects every other person using the service, so this section is the one we enforce strictly.

Send invoices and messages about them to people who are expecting them, or who have a genuine business relationship with you. Do not send marketing, bulk mail, or anything to a list you bought, scraped, or guessed. Do not impersonate somebody else, invoice for work that does not exist, or use the service in any scheme to get money from people under false pretences.

We may hold or refuse a send, and suspend an account, when mail sent through it is reported as spam or looks designed to deceive the recipient. We would rather do that than let one account ruin delivery for everyone.

Do not attempt to break into the service, read another workspace’s data, overload it, or work around the limits on the public pages. Do not resell the service as if it were yours.

Automated use of the free invoice generator, beyond a person making an invoice, is not allowed. It is rate limited for that reason.

Your invoices, clients, templates, logo, and everything else you put into Invoframe remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them, and we do not use them to train anything or to sell to anyone.

We need your permission to do the obvious mechanical things: store your data, render it into a document, and transmit it to the recipient you chose. That permission exists only so the product can run, and it ends when you delete your content.

The service itself, including the software, the design, the built in templates, and the name, remains ours.

A workspace can have more than one person in it. Its owner controls it, including the ability to remove members and to delete the workspace and everything inside it.

A person belongs to one workspace at a time. Accepting an invitation to join a team moves you into that team and closes the personal workspace you were using, so read the summary shown on the invitation before accepting it.

Invoframe is free to use right now. There are no plans, no tiers, and no card on file.

If that ever changes, we will say so clearly and in advance, and you will not be charged for anything without agreeing to it first. Nothing here is a promise that the service stays free forever, only that you will not be surprised.

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise a particular level of uptime, and we may take it down for maintenance or change how features work.

Email delivery depends on providers and receiving servers outside our control. We can show you whether a message was accepted, delivered, or bounced, but we cannot guarantee that a given message reaches a given inbox, or that it avoids a spam folder.

You can stop at any time. Deleting your workspace in Settings removes it and the records attached to it immediately, and it cannot be undone.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly the sending rules. Where the situation allows it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it is free of faults, or that it fits a particular purpose you have in mind.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profit, lost business, or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us, which today is nothing.

Nothing here is meant to exclude a liability that cannot legally be excluded where you live. If part of this section is unenforceable there, the rest still stands.

When these terms change, we update this page and move the date at the top. If a change is significant, for example a change to what the service costs or to the sending rules, we will tell you rather than relying on you noticing.

Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
